Victoria Mauro tears up while talking to Ann “Daisy” Kennaly and Becky “Zippie” Wells during her 100th birthday at Emeritus, a memory care community where Mauro currently lives. Mauro, who founded the Red Hot Clown Alley club in Sun City West almost 20 years ago, was honored on her birthday by current members of Red Hot Clown Alley and a proclamation in her honor signed by Peoria Mayor Bob Barrett. “I wish I could be a clown today,” said Mauro later adding, “You’re all so wonderful to come and to do this for me.” Friday, February 8, 2013 (Jarod Opperman/Daily News-Sun)
